Yes, he was an assistant under Weeb Ewbank in the late 60's. Check out the article in Sports Illustrated in 1994. Huge article, perhaps the best ever on Buddy. Answer Buddy was on the staff of Webb Ewbank teams of the 60's. He was there during the superbowl year. The Jets had the best defense in the AFL that super bowl miracle year. I wish he could coach the defense now.
