The space shuttle Enterprise is the centerpiece of the James S. McDonnell Space Hangar at the National Air and Space Museum's Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center in Chantilly, Va., near Washington Dulles International Airport.
On April 12, 2011, NASA announced that Space Shuttle Discovery, the most traveled orbiter in the fleet, will be added to the Smithsonian's space collection once the Shuttle fleet is retired.
