I imagine you are referring to Ravel's Piano Concerto for the Left Hand in D Major. It was commissioned by the Austrian pianist, Paul Wittgenstein (who lost his right arm in World War I) and premiered on January 5, 1932.

Maurice Ravel wrote a piano concerto for the left hand, but it is very difficult, and you will need an orchestra to play it with you! An interesting note: Ravel composed this concerto specifically for a concert pianist who had lost his right hand during World War I.
