When it is cold outside your circulatory system (blood) constricts your blood vessels in your limbs in order to maintain body warmth among your internal organs. As a result your skin (integumnetary system) becomes cold, and sends a signal to your nerves (nervous) system telling you that it is cold. Your nervous system then sends a message to your muscles (Muscular system) to make quick little muscle movements to generate heat (shivering) and also to make your hairs stand up on end to create an insulating layer.

In the summer the opposite is true. When it is hot your body wants to cool down, so your blood vessels relax allowing the heat trapped in your blood to move to the surface of your skin. This heat draws out water and waste products from the skin and blood (sweat). The sweat then evaporates off your skin which cools you.

All of the parts of your body work together to maintain homeostasis, which is a state of equilibrium between parts of the body that depend on one another. A good example is the heart and lungs. The heart pumps blood through the body, but without the lungs, this blood would not carry the oxygen that it needs.
