I like Amanda better personally because it's not as common as Lauren. There are 4 Laurens in my grade, and 0 Amandas. Amanda means lovable/worthy to be loved, and Lauren means laurel/laurel tree. However, Lauren may age better. Amanda has more nicknames, such as Mandy and Manda.
