Matthew, Mark, Luke and John are the main books of the bible about Jesus. THey talk about his life from eyewitness accounts to hearing what others have said about what they saw.
Jesus
All four New Testament gospels contain accounts of Jesus and the Pharisees. Of the four, Matthew refers to them the most (30 times), followed closely by Luke (27), then John (19). Mark writes of them the fewest times, with eleven mentions.
The life of Jesus can be found in the four gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.
Jesus and Bible
The common definition of an 'autobiography' is a biography or story of the persons life and experiences written by that person (auto). In this sense then, Jesus never physically wrote any work known. The four Gospels, however, are extensive accounts of Jesus' life and experiences. Additional information about Jesus and His sayings are found throughout the Bible - from Genesis to Revelation.
In the Gospel of Matthew 27: 62-66 we are told that the chief priests and Pharisees asked Pilate (not Herod) to secure the tomb that Jesus was buried in. We are not given any names in the bible.
All of them contain both his death and resurrection.
Four in the NIV
If you mean a complete biography of Jesus, that has never been written. What we know of his life and ministry is contained in the Four Gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, which are the first four books in the New Testament in the Bible.
The gospel refers to the four books in the bible that cover the life of Jesus. They are Mathew, Mark, Luke and John. Gospel is an Old English word that meant "Good News" as in, the Gospels brought the good news of Jesus's teachings. The Bible contains the four gospels and they are the first four books of the New Testament.
All versions of the Christian Bible, and all four Gospels, tell of Jesus dying on Good Friday afternoon, about 3 pm.
