The names were just christain's as far as i know.
We believe that he is the Son of God, the Messiah, the Holy one, and many other names. CAUSE WE BELIEVE <3
God sent the Holy Spirit to comfort the followers of Jesus.
All haters of Jesus Christ, God's Son, are persecuters of Christians. Unbelievers do not want to admit or give up their sins and this is what Jesus Christ requires. Christians are followers of Jesus and since Jesus is not on earth at this time unbelievers persecute His followers.
Jesus already has a title - God or Son of God. He makes saints. Saints are faithful followers of Jesus.
Paul spoke the word of God and people listened, but not followers like Jesus.
Christians are followers of Jesus Christ and first and foremost they believe in Jesus, and who He is, God Son.
I think there is hardly a single belief that all followers of Christianity share. Many Christians tend to believe:That Jesus actually existed.Either that he is the son of God, or that he is somehow an incarnation of God himself. That belief in God - and in Jesus - is an important part of their religion. That Jesus died to save us - whatever that means. That Jesus resurrected. That Jesus performed several miracles.
No they do not. Mainly because Jesus did not believe or teach that he was God. Infact he often said and taught things that showed he was not God. The famous prayer he taught his followers at Matthew 6 shows his father was the God he wanted his followers to pray to. The night before his death Jesus talked of "the only true God, and the one whom you sent, Jesus Christ". (john 17:3) So they were clearly separate. At Acts 2:31,32 Peter talked of "this Jesus whom God resurected." (How could God resurect Jesus if Jesus was God?) Jesus apostles believed the same. The apostle Paul once described Christ as the head of the congregation, "and the head of Christ is God". (Not "the head of God is God) Jesus told his followers he the father (God) was greater than he was, that God knew things he did not and many other things that contradict any idea Jesus was God. He even cried out "My God why have you forsaken me?" when he was dying (which makes no sense if he was God)
Because the local authorities and scholars did not believe Jesus was really the Son of God. This meant they disapproved of any followers - as being heretics.
Jesus had no son. Jesus never married. And He never sinned. He had no children. Now Jesus is the Son of God. God has given Jesus many things - power, authority, and a name above every name.
Muslims call the followers of Moses and Jesus (the Jews and the Christians respectively) people of the book. This means followers of the holy book Torah and followers of the holy book the Bible. Christians are the followers of Christianity per God revelation of The Bible to Prophet Jesus (Isa in Arabic) and the Jews are the followers of Judaism per God revelation of Torah to Prophet Moses (Musa in Arabic). Muslims are the followers of Islam per God revelation of Quran to Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon them all). Since Muslims believe in all God holy books including Torah, the Bible, and the Quran and believe in all God prophets including Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad (PBU them), they call the followers of Moses and Jesus (the Jews and the Christians respectively) people of the book. This means followers of the holy book Torah and followers of the holy book the Bible.
No. Because they are not doing the work of the devil, but the work of God in Jesus which is faith.
