According to God's Word, his chosen kingdom is Israel, but with the caveat that they are only the highest kingdom as long as they are following God's word. If they are not, they are given the title of the lowest of kingdoms.
In the Bible, God's chosen nation is the nation of Israel. Some people believe that since Jesus died for the world's sins according to the bible, this means that Israel is no longer the chosen nation.
In the Bible, the Lord God states that if Israel does not follow his words, they would be the lowest of nations. However, as long as they are following His will, the are the highest of nations.

I think that Lord can be both, God, and Zeus because people that believe in the Greece religion, would say that Greek Gods are real and that Zeus is the Lord . But many other religions believe that God would be the Lord.

Although families would continue to retain their importance in the new land, the structure of the Hebrew society would expand in numbers and in territory. The nation needed written revelation from their Lord God. As a nation, Israel also needed laws to regulate actions and to preserve freedoms. These laws would not come from man but from God and would be recorded in the Torah, the books of the Law written by Moses. The Torah became a written constitution for the nation of Israel.
There is no specific verse that states that God chose Israel because they were a small nation to show His control. However, in Deuteronomy 7:6-8, it is written that God chose Israel out of love for them and to fulfill the promises He made to their ancestors. It is through their obedience and faithfulness that the world would recognize God's power and presence.
That He would make of him a great nation.
