Pentatonix
Pentatonix does perform Christmas music. As of December 2014, the a cappella group's album That's Christmas to Me was certified gold; it is the highest-charting holiday album by a group since 1962.
No. The members of Pentatonix are not members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the "Mormon" church). They have, however, collaborated with Mormons (such as Lindsey Stirling), covered songs written by Mormons (such as Imagine Dragons), and performed for famous Mormons (such as Jon Huntsman). Pentatonix also have a strong Mormon fanbase.

Pentatonix is not exclusively a Christian group, but they have performed Christian songs and have released holiday albums that include religious themes. The group is primarily known for its a cappella renditions of various genres, including pop, classical, and contemporary music. While some of its members have Christian backgrounds, Pentatonix itself does not identify solely as a Christian group.

I can't honestly say who played it first, Pentatonix (with Lindsey Stirling) or Imagine Dragons. I will say, I heard first from Lindsey and Pentatonix, then a few months later it debuted on mainstream radio.
The cello player in Pentatonix is Eugene Lee. He joined the group in 2020 and is known for his unique musical contributions and arrangements, adding depth to their a cappella performances. Eugene has a background in both classical and contemporary music, which enhances the group's diverse sound.
