Alto Saxophone has a similar reed
no the oboe is a double reed and the clarinet is a single reed.
Yes, unless it's a student size bassoon compaired with a bass-oboe
Same as tenor sax
An oboe is a wind instrument from the double reed family because you use air to play the oboe,it has a reed,it isusuallyis made of plastic or polished wood and as far as Iknow isnot an percussion instrument!
Well, I'm a sixth grader and I JUST started playing the Oboe and I made a big mistake by letting my reed sit in water overnight and it's drying out and cracking....if you play clarinet you do need a different reed because those reeds are wider and only one reed the oboe is a double reed instrument unless you play sax I thin you can play with the same type of reed :) you can reuse them but it's not recommended
Because it is made of wood and also plays on a wooden reed.
All reed instruments are part of the woodwind instrument family, but there are some other woodwinds also that are not reed instruments - mainly the flute.
No, a bass clarinet and regualr clarinet are not the same. A bass clarinet is much bgger and produces lower notes than a regular clarinet. However, they do have the same fingerings for a note. I play the bass clarinet and the reular clarinet play the same notes and t he fingering are the same but the bass is alot lower. They have there own music. They are similar in ways and different in others.
[fast cleaning instructions]Attention: take apart your clarinet and remove the ligature and reed before attempting to clean your instrument. First, take your cleaning cloth or swab and gently run it through the inside of your clarinet. Next, dust off the keys with a dusting cloth, much like the one you would use to clean the lens of a camera or on a pair of glasses. Then put it away in the proper manner and be sure to put the reed back in its plastic case.[complete cleaning instructions]Attention: take apart your clarinet and remove the ligature and reed before attempting to clean your instrument. Run cold NOT HOT**** water through the inside of the clarinet. From this point, you can use the same method listed above.****IMPORTANT: DO NOT USE HOT WATER SINCE IT WILL CAUSE CORKS AND PADS TO EXPAND AND FALL OFF.
Each musical instrument has its own uniqueness to different people. What one person may find as being special about the clarinet, another may not share that same idea. The most interesting thing about a clarinet is that you want to learn the instrument and learn to play it well.
If you mean how the music is composed, then it's written in the same manner as any other instrument. Of course, whoever is writing the music has to be familiar with the range of the clarinet along with other "nuances" that the instrument presents.
The modern bass clarinet as we know today was invented by Adolphe Sax. (Later the inventor of the saxophone) Previous to that were other single reed woodwind instruments, but they do not have the same fingering or bore size as the modern bass clarinet.
