Unfortunately there is not much you can do besides contacting them directly and continually asking them for the funds. You could try small claims court but that will cost you more money in the end. It does not matter if you know their account number as you cannot access or withdraw funds it can only be deposited on your end and the bank is not responsible for the transaction.

It has nothing to do with the WAY you file or the software you used. The rebate will follow the information on the tax forms direct deposit line. If you have account number in there that is where it will go.
