They can bring economy to the area and make employment which would also be good. They can earn lots of money from it: they could make concrete out of it build with it or use it to make products like toothpaste :D. The lime stone can also reduce acidity in lakes (I don't know why someone would want that personally) and reduce the sulfur dioxide released from coal fire power stations. I suppose they could all help if the people don't mind the eye sore of having it near and the dust and noise. Hope this helped. :)
