transparent material allows light to pass through freely and translucent materials such as frosted glass or a lampshadow, most ligth rays gets through, but are scattered in all directions but translucent material, like the candleholder does not allow objects to seen distinctly
reflection
Transparency is defined as a quality an object has that allows light to pass through it and any objects on the opposite side can clearly be seen through through the transparent object. Translucent objects still allow light to pass through them, but the objects on the opposite side are not clearly visible. It could be likened to two pieces of glass. One is from a window and the other is frosted. The one piece from the window is transparent, and the frosted piece is translucent
Opaque is defined as an object which is not transparent or translucent; impenetrable to light; notallowing light to pass through. Example of opaque objects are: * Cardboard * Book * Desk* Tree and * Brick
Light is scattered as it passes through a prism.

reflection
Some of the light is reflected, some is absorbed by the glass, and the rest makes it all the way through and comes out of the other side. Since the glass is "frosted" or"ground", the light is scattered (bounces around) inside the glass, and doesn't follow a straight path. Although the light intensity and illumination survive the trip through it, images don't.

The data was transmitted via email. Disease can be transmitted from one person to another through contact with common objects such as a doorknob. The radio station transmitted a live rock concert on its station last night.

GAS is usually transmitted via large respiratory droplets or direct contact with infected persons or carriers. It is rarely transmitted by indirect contact through objects.
Sunlight gets absorbed, scattered, reflected, and transmitted through the atmosphere. Almost all of the ultraviolet component gets absorbed by ozone in the stratosphere. About half of the radiation gets absorbed or scattered and reflected in the troposphere. The remainder passes through, getting absorbed by the earth's surface.
A translucent object is something that you can see through, but not completely. When light hits a translucent object, the light is scattered, meaning only some of the light passed through. An opaque object (like metal or wood) allows no light to pass through, and a transparent object (like glass or air) allows all or most light to pass.
When light passes through an object, we say it is transmitted. Transparent objects transmit a lot of light. basically it is called shadow
Enough light gets through so that you can see the image clearly.
