Usually at least 91 or 92 in their petrol-engined cars.
Highest or middle octane. I wouldn't use the lowest.
Depends on the model/year/engine. Use exactly what the owner's manual lists. If you do not have an owner's manual then contact a Mercedes dealer for the correct octane fuel.
Premium 92 Octane or above.
93, This engine has a compression ratio that should allow it to use regular unleaded gasoline.
On a 2008 finely engineered car like Mercedes, I would use the high or middle octane- not the lowest. Don't use the lower octane if you hear it knocking under acceleration; however I think the engines are electronically regulated not to knock.
91 octaine or more grades,if you use 87..no problem,91 is good
It calls for 91 octane fuel. However the engine does have a know sensor so it will adjust ignition timing to keep from damaging the engine if a lower octane fuel is used.
I used top octane in my 1998 E320 before gas prices got up to $4.00 - now I use the middle octane. Mercedes recommends Premium fuel because of the way the engine is designed and the sensors. It runs much better on premium anyways. and if you cant afford the premium gas you have no business owning a mercedes.
Octane has not special application excepting the so-called octane number.
87 octane
you should use the medium rating octane(may vary depending on station)but usually 89 octane
You can use either octane range of 87 to 89. But Daimler-Chrysler recommends to use 89 octane for optimum performance.
