No. Pasture the horse on untreated grass. No treatment of any kind, except cutting the grass with a lawn mower.
Whenever you purchase a push mower you have to realize that it needs a higher grade oil. You should use a higher standard type of oil.
a high grade diesel fuel usually works best
Preferably a Synthetic oil in a 10w30 or 0w30 weight. If you cannot afford the 9 dollars per season, you can use conventional dinosaur oil in a 10w30 weight.
