you can use any kind of oil for your car depending on the miles you check your ODOMETER) (for example if you mark more than 50-thousand miles using a 10/40 mark has very little to do what is important is that it changes every 3000 miles
An Audi A4 1997 R reg will use 5 W 30 oil. This oil can be purchased at any auto parts store such as NAPA.
The owner's manual suggests that you use 0W-30 oil for the 2.7T engine, but you can typically use a 5W-30 as well. You might consult your local Audi dealer to find the right brand and weight of oil just to be safe.
10 30
Well, the best oil is either Mobile 1 or Castrol FULL SYNTHETIC OIL... 5W-30 or if you have higher miles 10W-40... PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU USE SYNTHETIC, this is what VW/Audi uses from factory on all their engines... Contrary to what many people say... YOU CAN NOT use regular oil on a car that has had Synthetic oil... it is almost like mixing water into oil... due to the synthetic oil creates a barrier in you engine to help protect it longer... if you put regular oil in an engine running Synthetic, this will cause EXTREME Engine Sludge Buildup... causing the engine to not operate correclty and costly repairs to the engine...
Nope, it uses VW 507 spec 5w 30 oil only.
4 stroke engine. Use 5W-30 synthetic engine oil at any temperature range Use 30W or 10W-30 above 40 degrees
if you are running the car in very cold conditions then yes but if the ambient temperature is above 50F degrees then I would not as it might not offer enough protection to your moving parts.
for a3 1,8t 2007 ,08,.... you must use oil with SAE 5W-30.any oil with these characteristics will do.of course you can also buy Audi oils(not recommended-very expensive) or aral longlife III SAE 5W-30 whits is the exact same think!!!if you check the botom an Audi brand oil bottle you will find out the oil manufacture is ARAL !!!!SAVE YOUR CAR AND YOUR POKCET!!!!!!!!!!!!
5W-30. Use Valvoline or Castrol. Sysnth blend or high-mileage Valvoline is best.
4.2 qt. (4 liter) It is recommended that you use 0w-30 synthetic oil, if it is not available then 5w-30 should be used.
10-30
I have 2001 Audi A4 1.8T quattro turbo may be same as yours. here is how to do Underneath of the front car you will find on passenger side the plug screw (12mm i think) it is on the side of engine oil pan (not transmission pan if you have an auto trans) you drain all used oil in the engine by this plug (ofcourse you have a pan to collect all used oil). On the driver side at middle of the engine you will find an oil filter (it is a big round thing) You need an oil wrench to open it and oil pan. becareful the oil inside the filter will drip out when you open oil filter . I open oil filter from the top of the engine car I see it is easier than remove it from bottom of the car. Get your oil filter from online or from auto part store or dealer (your choices) and use (5qt or 1 gal) Synthetic 5-30 oil or 10-30 (high mileage) oil brand it is up to you I use Castro full Synthetic 5-30. Then after old oil drain out ... repalce new oil filter, plug the oil drain plug back and refill your engine oil from engine oil cap ... check your oil stick(orange color) on top it showns you oil level on it. close the oil cap and run engine for 3 minutes then turn it off. Wait 5 minutes then check your oil stick again to make sure engine has enough oil ... Add more oil as nessary . You done. Hint: Please recycle use oil at pepboy or kragen auto part stores or recycle center in your city.
