During the Pleistocene ice age, glaciers covered large parts of North America, Europe, and Asia. These glaciers were extensive and had a significant impact on the landscape and climate of these continents.
During the peak of the last ice age, approximately 30% of Earth's surface was covered by glaciers. These glaciers were part of massive ice sheets that extended over North America, Europe, and Asia.
Kazakhstan is partially located in Eastern Europe; it is a transcontinental country between Europe and Asia.
Louis Agassiz collected his evidence that glaciers covered most of the earth because he grew up and lived in Europe. In Europe he found several rocks that were very scratched and/or polished. And since there was nothing in Europe that pointed to why this happened he automatically thought that Europe was covered by glaciers. So we know that Agassiz loved to travel so when he traveled he saw more and more of these rocks in different places around the world. So if he figured that if he saw them in Europe that means there must have been alot of glaciers around the world. And now thanks to Mr. Louis Agassiz and our present technology we found that his theory of glaciers around the world was indeed correct. Tyler Hickey from the the Harvard Institute of America.

It is much easier to name which countries are found in Europe. This way, if a country is not on the list then you know it is not located in Europe. A link is provided below with the list of countries in Europe, either fully or partially.
