You don't need a formal education to be a gardener; however, some education would be helpful. Knowledge of agronomy, botany and landscape design would be beneficial. Also, it would be helpful to take a Master Gardener's course. Contact your local Extension Service for more information.

To become a landscape designer one should take courses that teach you about different plants, what climate they grow best in and how to keep them healthy.

Well, you have to have a grade C or above in maths & English, but i think you should take whatever your good at. Personally I want to become the same as you & I'm taking health & social, history, double science, business studies and french. Im allowed 5 options. GOOD LUCK!!
