The books have gained in popularity due in part to the success of the True Blood television series.
Sookie Stackhouse is the protagonist in Sookie Stackhouse books (also known as The Southern Vampire Mysteries) by Charlene Harris and the popular HBO show TrueBlood. She is a small-town telepathic waitress in Bon Temps.
Sookie Stackhouse was created in 2001.
Sookie Stackhouse's mother is called: Michelle Stackhouse and her Father's name is: Corbett Stackhouse
The first season of True Blood is pretty similar to the first book in the Sookie Stackhouse series but the other seasons do not closely follow the books and therefore do not have any corresponding books.
As of now, Charlaine Harris has concluded the Sookie Stackhouse series with the final book "Dead Ever After" released in 2013. She has not indicated that she plans to write any more books in this series.
The 12th Sookie Stackhouse is called Deadlocked and it comes out May, 1, 2012.
It's "Sookie" Stackhouse, and her actor in TrueBlood is Anna Paquin
