Episode 1 (The Phantom Menace) is the first and it chronicles the life of the young Anakin Skywalker. Episode 2 (Attack of the Clones) is the second and it details the attempted assassination of Padme. Fearful that she will be killed, Obi-Wan and Anakin take her into custody. The evil Chancellor Palpatine creates a clone army for the Republic that he uses to try to eliminate the Jedi. Episode 3 (The Revenge of the Sith) is the third and it details, among other things, the transformation of Anankin into Darth Vader by the hand of the Chancellor. We also see the birth of Luke and Leia by mother, Padme. The twins are separated at birth for fear of Darth Vader finding them. Episode 4 (A New Hope) is the fourth and focuses on Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, and others that try to save Princess Leia Organa. (At this point in time, Luke and Leia do not know that they are related.) Episode 5 (The Empire Strikes back) is the fifth and follows Luke as he trains to become a Jedi. Episode 6 (Return of the Jedi) is the sixth and this one chronicles the capture of Princess Leia by Jabba the Hutt. This is also the episode where the forever famous line, "Luke, I am your father!" is uttered. This episode also kills a main character.
