I dont know what other egr valve will work, but I know they can be cleaned out and put back on the car. I have a 96 Paseo, and I soaked mine in carb cleaner and was able to get all the carbon out and put it back on the car and works fine.
Could be EGR valve sticking open or dirty at an idling condition or hesitates when accelerating.
To remove the valve cover on a 92-97 Toyota paseo. Remove the spark plug igniters from valve cover. Remove crankcase ventilation valve(black plastic 90 degree elbow) from valve cover and intake manifold. remove the fiev nuts on th top o the valve cover. place a pry bar between cylinder head and valve cover at the corners where they have left a gap. Pry slowly and easily. be sure to work all corners not just one.
It's directly underneath the throttle body and anchored to the throttle body by screws.
Are you sure the EGR valve is bad? I have a 96 Paseo and thought I needed a new 1 but the only problem was insufficient air flow, after soaking it in carb cleaner and blowing out all the gunk(carbon build-up) it worked fine and I was able to put it back on the car. Good luck.
A flange is the part of the pipe that you can bolt on a blow off valve, O2 Sensor, or other parts like that. The name that you are looking for it the Down Pipe Gasket.
The PVC valve on a 2009 Toyota Rav 4 Limited Edition 4-cylinder is located on the left side of the motor. It is at the top of the valve cover. Toyota calls it a ventilation valve instead of a PVC valve like other companies.
If I'm not mistaken Toyota uses expansion valves, not orifice tubes. The two airconditioned Toyotas I've owned have been that way. The expansion valve will be located inside the evaporator unit behind the dash/glove compartment. Probably not accessible without removal of the evaporator unit.
