Best Answer

In the adult human mouth, there are approximately (or round about) 32 teeth.

Of those 32, there are four different types:

Incisors-

(cutting teeth)

The very front two teeth in the mouth, these function as scisssors when eating, slicing food like a blade.

Canine-

(tearing teeth)

These four teeth are the sharpest in the mouth and are designed to tear tougher food into smaller pieces.

Bicuspids (pre-molars)-

(chewing teeth)

These 8 teeth are used primarily for chewing and are located around the canines. They have flat surfaces for grinding.

Molars-

(chewing teeth)

These teeth function the same as bicuspids.
