Miss. Maudie Atkinson bakes that type of cake. It is a specialty of hers and everyone loves it who has tried it. Miss Stephanie Crawford has been trying to steal the formula of the cake for 30 years. Miss Maudie Atkinson also bakes one for Mr. Avery for saving her furniture from the fire. :)
Miss Caroline is a young and inexperienced teacher who struggles to connect with her students in "To Kill a Mockingbird." She comes from a more privileged background and is unaware of the challenges that the students in her classroom may face, such as poverty or lack of education. Despite her good intentions, her lack of understanding and rigid teaching methods contribute to her difficulties in reaching her students.
Miss Maudie sees the fire as an opportunity to build a smaller and more comfortable house that suits her better. She is not materialistic and views the situation with optimism and resilience, focusing on the positive aspects rather than dwelling on the loss. Additionally, the fire provides the community with a chance to come together and support her, strengthening their bonds.
In chapter 8, Miss Maudie left her stove on and left the house. When Jesus got into doing meth, he needed a more convenient to get his meth, so he created an meth lab in his own house, plottwist it was actually miss Maudie's house that he toke over and killed her. So the house caught fire by the meth lab exploding. I hope this helped.

The word "compensation" can be found on page 11 of the book "To Kill a Mockingbird" by Harper Lee. This word is used in the context of Miss Maudie explaining to Scout and Jem that Boo Radley's father was a foot-washing Baptist.
In Harper Lee's novel "To Kill a Mockingbird," it is mentioned that Calpurnia, the Finch family's housekeeper, learned to read from the Finch children when they were younger. This demonstrates the bond and trust between Calpurnia and the Finch family.

"Ain't got no mother," was the answer, "and their paw's right contentious" (Lee page 32). This is the beginning of the story when the children in Miss Caroline's class are trying to explain to her that Burris Ewell and the rest of the Ewells only come to school on the first day of the year. It is in chapter 3, and in the book I own, page 32. Hope that helps!
