Celsius is a measurement of temperature named after its initiator, Swedish astronomer Anders Celsius. He devised a temperature scale in which the freezing point of water was called zero degrees, its boiling point one hundred degrees. His temperature scale is standard in most countries of the world, with the USA most prominently still using Fahrenheit's temperature scale.
