A persuasive speech cannot be long! However impressive the persuasive speech may be, it will always be boring when it gets to over 1500 words. It needs to be about 1250 words and needs to catch the reader the WHOLE TIME. That is why it can't be too long. Because the longer it gets the HARDER it is to keep the reader interseted. i wrote a school speech at 1190 words. Personally i think that's just enough to impress the reader and to prevent the reader from getting bored reading.
