climate grows better fruit grow here but to hot to quick Texas
The Northeastern US is the smallest but most populous region of the US. It has a continental climate, meaning cold summers and hot winters. It has perhaps the richest history and greatest influence on the US's history. It is also perhaps the most important part of the US today.
It seems that the notion of regional climate variations having little or no impact on building design is perhaps fast fading. A house manytimes is built in one part of the US generally in the same way as a house in another with no regard to the climate variations. As a result there are manytimes inefficiencies, problems, or even "disasters" which go along with the failure to address regional issues. However perhaps recent changes in thinking brought to the forefront by global climate changes, increased numbers of disasters, and rising fuel costs will help create a building dicipline which achieve better results of how buildings react to their environments.
