medulla oblongata
Brain
Strokes affect the cells in the brain. Since the brain controls all parts of the body, the area of the brain that controls your respiratory system can be damaged due to the rupture of an artery in the brain.
The pons and medulla oblongata
The brain stem is the part that controls breathing, it is the stem that allows the respiratory system to work and help you breathe
By your nervous system
cardiovascular - heartdigestive - stomachnervous - brain
the section of the brain which contains the centres for cardiac, respiratory and vasomotor action is the medulla oblongata.
The brain controls all activity in the body and uses about 20 of the body's energy.
The part of the brain that controls breathing, heart rate, and reflexes is the medulla oblongata. Located in the brainstem, it autonomously regulates vital functions such as respiration and cardiovascular activity. Additionally, the medulla processes reflex actions like swallowing, coughing, and sneezing. It works in conjunction with other brain regions to maintain homeostasis in the body.
The cardiovascular - regulatory system and it is part of the autonomic nerve system which is controled by the limbic system found deep in the center of the brain.
Cardiovascular system (heart, lungs, artaries, veins), cardiovascular center (an area in the brain which regulates the heart found inside the medula), baroreceptors which pick up on blood pressure. This aside, if you're a student, do your own damn homework.
The system that the cardiovascular system depends on includes the respiratory system as well as the central nervous system. The central nervous system includes the brain and spine.
