Unfortunately, not enough teenagers are going to their parents for financial advice. I don't know of any studies that would give a percentage, but I can tell you that in the majority of families that I work with, young people did not pay attention to what their parents did with their money.

If more teenagers would take an active role in learning how their parents manage their finances, there would be a lot less bankruptcies for people in their 20's.
