No studies have been done
Homework is practice of the topics taken up in class. Some of it may be review, but really good homework requires that you use what you learned to analyze the material to reach the next step. I would opine that 90% is review.

Not if you keep up with your classes - pay attention and take good notes, then you'll understand the homework.
Yes,but maybe only a sheet every day because homework can take up lots of time and children need fresh air and need to get out of the house. When I was a child I hated how much homework my teacher gave me because it was an unnescessary amount. So yes, but not alot.
i will manage time in accordance the strength of the homework
Split the homework up, try to be a little more organised. Do the hardest homework first. Otherwise if you start with the easiest, you'll be demotivated by the time you reach the hardest. And because the hardest will take the longest to complete whereas the easiest should take you no time at all. If one of them is an essay with a deadline, you should consider that before the homework that is not essay-related. If you need more time, visit the teacher or professor who issued the homework and ask them for a time extension because you have too much or higher priority homework that needs to come first. If the teacher/professor says no, ask the head of the department/faculty. If your teacher is the department/faculty head, visit the head of your year group/grade or the principal.

Usually they take an average. They count more points for the tests than they do for the homework, too.
Students have different reasons for not doing their own homework. Some are not interested in learning or are just floating by, which will catch up with them later in life. Some are addicted to Internet games and don't want to take time to do their homework. Others are bored with doing worksheets day after day or need more of a challenge.
