That's kind of a trick question... because most Americans don't read The Bible.
The majority of the hundreds of professing Christian denominations "tell" their flocks "what the Bible says" -- and they take what they're told as truth.
But very few people bother to research and study the scriptures to see if what they're being told is Truth.
"...Jesus said to those Jews which believed on Him, If ye continue in My Word, then are ye My disciples indeed; and YE SHALL KNOW THE TRUTH, and the Truth shall make you free." (John 8:31-32)
"CONTINUE": (Strong's Definitions) "meno"; "a primary verb; to stay (in a given place, state, relation or expectancy):
KJV--abide, continue, dwell, endure, be present, remain, stand, tarry...".
If most Americans don't read the Bible... then they don't know what it really says to make the personal judgment to "believe" it as Truth or not.
But because many belong to a professing Christian denomination of one sort or other... they will still assert that they "believe" the Bible is the truth. Most denominations require a person to admit that in order to join them.
The bottom line is... most American's don't read the Bible [professing Christian, or not]... so, they rarely "hold the Bible" at all... much less "read it" that they can hold what it says to be Truth.
Satyagraha means "hold fast to the truth"
It doesn't matter what percentage of wealth women hold, because they hold 100% of what really matters.
Most Presidential inaugurations before the modern era had the Justice of the Peace or other Government official/clerk hold the bible. Lyndon Johnson would be the first President to have his wife hold the bible for his Presidential Inauguration.
