Philippine history books say that Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo was the one who declared the Philippine independence but soon after this, the country was under the control of America. it is said that the Philippine independence was granted only after WWII. but in historical terms, Emilio Aguinaldo was the person who declared independence in the Philippines.
The Declaration of Independence declared the 13 colonies to be free and independent from the people of England. I'm not positive but that is the closest I've come to answering this difficult but clever question. I actually used threee super-computers to get this answer. None of them pulled it up. But then I called a phsychic and he was able to get it right. A few weeks later he called me up and said that he wasn't exactly sure. So my first posted answer was the answer he gave me. I had to delete that answer and ut this one on. So this is a best guess. :-) --Totally awesome person you don't know

On July 4, 1776 the Declaration of Independence was signed by 56 American colonists who were requesting their indepedence from England. In doing so they became enemies of England and King George III - many lost their homes, were chased by the English army, their families were relocated and were never found. These men took a chance with their lives speaking out. That is what our Independence Day is all about.

There was not one particular person "who freed the 13 colonies", but an group effort by the colonies themselves. After the Declaration of Independence was written and published in 1776 the colonies were in revolution against the British crown. It took the whole society to do this.
