Plate Tectonics.
The phenomenon responsible for moving sedimentary and metamorphic rock into Earth's interior is plate tectonics. The movement of the Earth's tectonic plates causes rocks to be dragged down or subducted into the Earth's mantle, where they can eventually be melted and recycled back into the solid rock cycle.

Metamorphic rocks are rocks that have "morphed" into another kind of rock. These rocks were once igneous or sedimentary rocks. The rocks are under tons and tons of pressure, which fosters heat build up, and this causes them to change as rocks.
Density is responsible for determining how Earth materials separate out into interior layers.

heat and pressure change the sedimentary rock into metamorphic rock
No. Heat from the interior of the Earth trying to reach the surface drives lithospheric plate movements which are mostly responsible for the formation of igneous and metamorphic rocks.
They have a lot of fossil fuels due to the rock(which i believe is either Sedimentary, or Metamorphic and Igneous). They have to drill holes in the rocks to find the minerals and fuel.
sedimentary
Sedimentary.
The "earth's interior" is thought to be composed of magma and, at the core, molten iron and perhaps some nickel. If we look out on the crust of the earth, some 75-80% of the surface of our planet is composed of sedimentary rock. That leaves some 20-25% left to be composed of igneous and metamorphic rock. Sedimentary rocks are formed on or near the Earth’s surface, in contrast to metamorphic and igneous rocks, which are formed deep within the Earth. The most important geological processes that lead to the creation of sedimentary rocks are erosion, weathering, dissolution, precipitation, and lithification.
