Best Answer

There does not appear to be a scientific term to specifically describe the fear of taking control. Perhaps the fear stems from the possible result of taking control, or making the decision. It can be a great responsibility to take control of certain situations. The possible consequences of making a mistake or the fear of ridicule for the decisions we make can be very overwhelming.

Kakorrhaphiophobia is the fear of failure or defeat.

Catagelophobia is the fear of ridicule.

Atychiphobia is the fear of failure.

Prosophobia is the fear of progress

Decidophobia is the fear of making decisions.

If your fear begins to negatively affect the quality of your life, or your happiness, then please consult with a doctor to help you to address your fear.
