One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest was named Best Picture of 1975. It was the second movie, after 1934's It Happened One Night to win the "Big Five" Oscars. In addition to Best Picture, Jack Nicholson won Best Actor and Louise Fletcher won Best Actress. Milos Forman was named Best Director, and Laurence Hauben and Bo Goldman received the Oscar for Adapted Screenplay. The movie received an additional four nominations. (As of 2015, the only other movie to win the top five awards is 1991's Silence of the Lambs.)
