There is no standard abbreviation for Kitchen used on building plans, but there may be forms that are common in some areas. For any word that requires abbreviation, the determinant is whether the shortened form will be understood. K, KIT and KITCH are sometimes used. The context helps to make them understandable as the plan of the room will sometimes have benches sinks and appliances shown.

General MacArthur led the UN forces in the Korean War. His plan was to completely attack China. He proposed to bomb them and take charge in the war. The UN and President Truman opposed his plan and constructed a limited war only to Korea. MacArthur, being his very rioty and outspoken self, confronted Truman's plan directly and criticised his thoughts publically. With the disagreement and the opposition, Truman fired MacArthur for his outburst and his opposition for the limited war.

During the early stages of the Korean War, General of the Army Douglas MacArthur was a proponent of liberating the entire Korean Peninsula from communist influence. President Truman and Secretary of State Dean Acheson felt that if this plan was followed it would cause the Communist Chinese to enter the war and expand it beyond acceptable limits. Following the Inchon landing, General MacArthur's United Nations troops pushed the North Koreans north to the Yalu River, the border between North Korea and China. General MacArthur advocated attacking Chinese forces, but was denied this action by President Truman and Secretary Acheson. General MacArthur then began to publicly disagree with his Commander in Chief and to seek to weaken him politically with the support of U.S. Senators, including Joe McCarthy. President Truman's statement on April 10, 1951 can be found at the link below.
Blockade China's coast, bomb its interior and release Chiang's Nationalist forces to invade the mainland China. This was the plan that General MacArthur proposed but it had fierce debate.
After U.S. forces recovered Seoul, the why-did-truman-fire-general-douglas-macarthurof South Korea, in spring of 1951 for the second time, President Truman proposed negotiations with North Korea, hoping for a truce and wanting to avoid having the war spread further in Asia and possibly involving the Soviet Union.MacArthur disagreed publicly. Declaring "there is no substitute for victory," MacArthur advocated another why-did-truman-fire-general-douglas-macarthurinto North Korea that would be coordinated with an attack on China by Chiang Kai-shek, the Chinese leader who had been defeated by communists and had created a stronghold on the island of Taiwan. MacArthur found supporters in Congress. Truman fired MacArthur for challenging his authority as commander in chief.MacArthur returned to the United States for a rousing, hero's welcome before crowds in New York City and Washington, D.C. He addressed a joint session of Congress, where he justified his conduct in Korea and his bold plan for fighting communism. Many congressmen applauded MacArthur's plans. However, a subsequent congressional investigation concluded that MacArthur had violated his orders from the commander in chief. Omar Bradley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, emphasized that MacArthur risked involving the United States in a large-scale Asian land war against China, and possibly the Soviet Union, as well. It would be "the wrong war, at the wrong place, at the wrong time, and with the wrong enemy," concluded Bradley.
