Venus would be the terrestrial planet that fits that description, while Jupiter would be a gas giant that has similar properties.
Carbon dioxide is what is colloquially known as a greenhouse gas. This means that while it is transparent to the incoming sunlight in the visible spectrum, it is opaque to the infrared frequencies by which a planet loses heat at night. So an atmosphere with carbon dioxide in it is like a warm blanket, wrapped around a planet, keeping in the heat. Earth has only about a third of one percent carbon dioxide in its atmosphere, so the greenhouse effect is not that strong. Venus, on the other hand, has a much higher concentration of carbon dioxide, and a much stronger greenhouse effect.
Solid carbon dioxide, also known as dry ice, forms at tempuratures below −78.5 °C (−109.3 °F). There are few places on the planet that ever get this cold. Dry ice would quickly evaporates at higher temperatures.
Carbon dioxide is removed from cells by a process known as diffusion.

Nitrogen and oxygen are among the most common elements in the universe, formed by nuclear fusion in the cores of stars. These elements, or at least compounds of them, are present in the nebula that collapses to form a solar system. After a planet forms, nitrogen and carbon dioxide are released by volcanic activity. Earth is the only known planet with notable amounts of free oxygen in the atmosphere. This is the result of photosynthesis (plants and algae processing water and carbon dioxide into sugar and oxygen).
Mars is known as the red planet. The planet itself is mostly rock. It is the thin atmosphere that is mostly carbon dioxide.
The planet Mars is the only planet known with two moons and a predominantly CO2 atmosphere.
Carbon dioxide is known as a greenhouse gas which cause global warming.
Solid Carbon Dioxide is known as 'dry ice'.
Frozen Carbon Dioxide is commonly known as Dry Ice.
