NORTHAN LIGHTS
The planet will still rise in the east and set in the west. The "retrograde" motion is relative the stars, and to its previous position; you won't see it move moment to moment, but night after night, you can see that it normally creeps one way across the sky, but for a couple of weeks near the conjunction, it will seem to creep the other way across the sky before going back to its normal direction.
I think they all do in this solar system, but maybe someplace with two suns has a planet without night. On a binary star system when the planet move between the stars in part of it's year there will be no night or only daylight.
why do scientists aew able to predict where in the night sky a planet will be visible
Mars
It depends where you are on the planet. For most of the planet the day-night sequence is repeated every 24 hours. However at the poles the day night sequence is repeated only once every year.
Simply because there are millions of them across the planet, and they breed very easily !
no,planet has a star day and night
Across the Night was created on 2003-03-11.
Night Across the Street was created in 2012.
As I write this (October 2010) Jupiter is the bright planet beneath the moon. The moon rises about an hour later each night on its monthly journey around the earth. Jupiter generally marches westward across the sky ecliptic a few degrees per night.
No you cant see your own planet your on it
No the "planet" sun is in the other side of the world when its night. and its a star not a planet. --------------------------------- The son is not even a polanit. --------------------------------- HAHAHHAHAHA

Across the whole planet the day and night length are the same and it is the first day of Spring in the northern hemisphere and the first day of Autumn in the southern hemisphere.
From Earth, Venus is the brightest planet in the night sky.
The word "planet" comes from the Greek word "planฤtฤs," which means wanderer. In ancient times, planets were considered to be wandering stars because of their apparent movement across the night sky.
You can see them on the ground if you are looking for them and you are amazingly lucky. Meteors can be seen as white streaks in the sky from dusk to dawn at night.
