The carnivors in the savanna eat mainly only meat which includes such as small animals or any animal which is considered prey to that certain carnivores. Like a lion (predator) would eat a zebra (prey).

The plant eaters in the savanna eat mainly whatever vegetation or bugs lives in the savanna. Like a zebra would eat grass.

It depends on what animals you are talking about here.

  • Herbivores like Gazelles, Springbok, Impala, Zebra, Wildebeest, Buffalo etc eat the Grass
  • Small predators like Cheetah eat herbivores like Gazelles and Impala
  • Large predators like Lions eat larger herbivores like Zebra, Wildebeest, Buffalo etc
  • Scavengers like hyena and vultures eat anything that is left over
