Ogden Nash wrote the poem, "Mrs. Low's House" while living in Juliette's house which his father, Edmund Strudwick Nash rented from Juliette Gordon Low. Edmund Strudwick Nash became one of the first benefactors of the American Girl Guides (now Girl Scouts of the USA) when he also paid rent on the carriage house which Juliette Gordon Low had established as the first headquarters. Ogden's sister, Eleanor Arnett Nash was also involved in the American Girl Guides as a Guide Mistress (troop leader).
