Several otherwise harmless supplements including higher doses of Vitamin C or magnesium can cause loose stool. Also, the additives or binders in many vitamins can have that effect, if you are taking more than one tablet per day. If you have doubts, the best thing to do is eliminate all supplements for seven days. Then, add one per day for three days to see what the effects on your system are. Continue until you find the supplement -- or dosage -- that's causing the problem.
