well he offered them wine and food, and the cyclopes rejected it.
In the land of the Cyclopes, Odysseus demonstrates his intelligence and cunning by devising a plan to blind Polyphemus and escape. He also exhibits bravery and leadership by taking charge of the situation and guiding his men through the dangerous ordeal. Additionally, Odysseus shows his loyalty and commitment to his crew by refusing to abandon them, even when faced with great danger.
Ulysses (Odysseus) first impression of the cyclopes was that they were strong, feirce creatures. Odysseus was a very clever man and too clever for the cyclopes. I dont think that the cyclopes' way of life appeals to Odysseus because they arent very active. Think about it, they live on the same island all their lives while Odysseus is out on the open see trying to get back home to Ithica. no.............odysseus thinks they are disorganized and filthy creatures......and a bunch of other things

The other Cyclopes refused to help Polyphemus because they believed he was being punished by the gods for his mistreatment of Odysseus and his men. They did not want to anger the gods by interfering in the situation.
Odysseus blinded Polyphemus as a strategic move to escape from the cyclops' cave. By blinding him, Odysseus made it easier to outsmart Polyphemus and his fellow cyclopes, enabling his crew to escape.
Odysseus initially perceives the Cyclopes as uncivilized due to their lack of organized community structures, such as laws or councils, and their solitary and primitive lifestyle of living in caves and herding animals without any social connections or interactions.
The Odysseus feelings about the Cyclopes is unbearable. The Odysseus is very graceful to the Cyclopes but he just doesn't understand.

When Hermes arrived on Cyclopes Odysseus was crying of homesickness.
He told the cyclopes that his name was "Noman".
Because the cyclopes' father which was the god of sea would punish him or kill him if he did. So he escaped without killing him to be safe but the Cyclopes prays to his father to kill Odysseus. :)
