The whale shark is a filter feeder so it eats whatever is in the water it intakes. The whale shark is not in any near future danger of starvation because of this.
Sharks don't Pray as far as i know sharks have no religion. They do catch prey like fish or seals. It depends wich shark and wich prey animal what its movement is. You might wanna watch shark week on discovery channel.

It helps them see there pray and then attack it. If the pray tries to hit them in the eyes they just roll back their eyes and their eyes are covered and protected.
The hammerhead shark has to live in big groups of them, you would usually find them in the Australian seas at the bottom floating around waiting to kill their pray.
