2. Remove all wires, because one tend to trip over those.
3. Move it to a secure dry solid standing position.
My Take:Computers are no longer mysterious delicate things like my 386 (it killed a hard drive because I bumped it with my knee)The important thing is to package it up like any other home electronics. If it is not boxed and reasonably padded in the box it can be damaged.
I wrapped my current monitor and computer and a monitor in separate boxes wrapped in a blanket each. No problem. And I saw the movers drop the Monitor.
