George Wallace of Alabama was shot by Arthur Bremer on 15 May 1972 who would have preferred Richard Nixon as his target, but Nixon was to well protected. Bremer was released from prison after 35 years, but his probation will continue until 2025 when he will be 75 years old. George Wallace died on 13 September 1998.
