The ancient Romans had the same problems that we have today. Unemployment, housing, city services, high rents, slum landlords, taxes, high prices, greedy politicians, rebellious teenagers, street gangs, and muggings, were some of the things the ancients had to live with or around. Urban life hasn't changed too much in over two thousand years.
