A bronchial spasm happens when the airways become narrow making exhaling hard. A bronchial spasm feels like a tight constriction in the chest, and may be painful.
Allergic reactions involving the lungs cause the airways or bronchial tubes to narrow. Bronchodilators cause the smooth muscle lining the airways to relax or dilate. This makes the airways open wider, letting more air pass through them.
It shouldn't cause any problems with ur labor, but depending on how narrow you are, you may have to have a c-section. I, myself, have a narrow pelvic and I had to have a c-section.
Breathing for astmatics can be difficult because the airways become more narrow, reducing the amount of air that can get into your lungs. During as asthma attack however, the airways are not only narrow, you breathe in more air than you breathe out, so air gets trapped inside your lungs making it harder to breathe..Hope this helps.
