Errors introduced by a Medical Assistant are so many and it keeps on happening in the medical field. Although, there are changes been made to eliminate it. Nevertheless, error are still been made. Error that can be introduced by a medical assistant are mostly done when entering patient's information in the EMR either by misspelling the name, wrong DOB, medical abbreviation, Drug Administration or when during Vital sign. However medical Assistant can reduce errors when taking vital signs by being accurate as possible, because it is important to do the right procedure on the right patient to get the right and satisfying results. Another reason why medical assistant should be more accurate is because the doctor diagnose and treat patient's based on what the medical assistant give them and from the lab result. So in order to avoid errors we as medical assistant should be more attentive to our patient and procedure to get an accurate vital sign or order procedure. We should also ask the doctor for clarity if we do not understand what he wrote or said, or ask for help from the next MA if we didn't heard the blood pressure clearly or get the pulse right to avoid errors.
