Best Answer

Physical and chemical erosion/weathering, followed by transport and finally sedimentation.

Transport is not always occuring, it is possible that eroded particles are sedimentated in situ. Also, it is higly likely that during transportation, eroded particles are even further significantly eroded/weathered. For example, when a boulder is transported downstream, it's roundness increases with time/distance travelled.

erosion

What process changes a sedimentary rock into an igneous rock?

Sedimentary rock can change intometamorphic rock or into igneous rock. Metamorphic rockcan change into igneous or sedimentary rock. Igneous rock forms when magma cools and makes crystals. Magma is a hot liquid made of melted minerals.

Which process changes sedimentary rock into igneous?

Melting and crystallization.

What is the process sedimentary to igneous?

In order to get an igneous rock from a sedimentary rock, the sedimentary rock must be melted and then that melt must crystallize.

What process changes igneous rock and metamorphic rock into sedimentary rock?

Broadly weathering, erosion, deposition, compaction and cementation.

What is the process for igneous rock changing to sedimentary rock?

Weathering and erosion

What process can lead to igneous rock becoming sedimentary rock?

When igneous rocks are crushed and compacted into sediment

How igneous rock changes to sedimentary rock?

Sedimentary rock to change to Igneous rock by applying heat and pressure , which creates Metamorphic rock . Next , Metamorphic rock turns to Magma because it melts . Lastly you have to let the Magma cool and it becomes an Igneous rock . That is how Sedimentary rock changes to Igneous rock .
