Answer 1 The process that occurs in the Sun's core to produce so much energy is called nuclear fusion. Inside the Sun the temperature and pressure gets so high that substances fuse to from new substances. This process produces a large amount of heat, light and energy. Answer 2 Fusion. Isotopes of hydrogen bond together to form helium nuclei. Helium is a bit lighter than the hydrogen isotopes from which it is formed, and this difference, known as the mass defect, is matter converted into energy.

The sun gets its energy from the fuel it has. The fuel is hydrogen, here it is so hot that hydrogen is being converted to helium -3 in its core, Nuclear fusion.

Fusion is a process which has only been able to be replicated by scientists on earth very lately, but only for a billionth of a second or so. It occurs at very high temperatures. In the sun hydrogen molecues are heated so hotly that the electrons are stripped of their atoms, and all is left is a positive nucleus. The nuclei then fuse together and produce helium-3.

The sun in its current phase produces energy through the fusion of hydrogen atoms into helium. As the sun ages, it will eventually start fusing helium into heavier elements to produce energy.

The way autotrophs produce food?

Autotrophs produce food by photosyntesis. Photosyntesis is when a plant uses water and the suns energy to produce sugar and energy. This is how they survive, other organisms- heterotroughs eat the autotrophs to gain energy which the autotroughs produce.
