At the end of New Moon Edward promised to change her only if she marries her. In the movie she doesn't give an answer but in Eclipse when they are alone in the Cullen's house Edward ask's again. He does it again because Bella wanted to make-out with him but Edward stops her and makes another promise. He promised to make-out with Bella after the wedding and to change her into a vampire after that. But of course after that he showed Bella the ring. He knelt down on one knee and said: "Isabella Swan? I promise to love you forever - every day of forever. Will you marry me?" And of course Bella says "Yes!"
